Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan last week presented a proposal that he believes will ignite the habit of reading among the nation’s youth.
İYİ (Good) Party leader and presidential candidate Meral Akşener has refuted any prospect of an alliance with the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, saying AKP officials had offered her a position in the cabinet but she turned it down.
According to CHP’s members in the Radio and Television Supreme Council, AKP was covered for 354 hours whereas HDP wasn’t covered at all by eight private TV channels during May. Five channels have placed embargo on opposition parties.
